How do your programs further our economic development goals?


Proof typically works in conjunction with economic development partners like local Chambers, Incubators, or Small Business Development officse to recruit local teams to join a cohort. Proof relies heavily upon the existing networks within a local ecosystem to recruit interested participants.




How many teams / participants can be in a given course?


To run a cohort, Proof typically aims to have at least 10 teams/participants. Once the cohort grows to 15, we close off registration. From experience, we have honed in on the 10-15 number. This number enables us to drive a high level of engagement, while still delivering maximum value to each participant. If the optimal numbers cannot be met, Proof is still committed to supporting the industry and has flexible options to accommodate companies when necessary.




What does the registration process look like?


Business owners and operators who are interested in participating complete a simple survey/questionnaire that provide a standard set of info about them and their company. Once a participant has been selected, they receive an onboarding packet that includes a survey that asks for more in-depth information about their company's current operations and standings.




As a partner, what if I cannot recruit an entire cohort?


If a full cohort cannot be recruited, Proof has several options to merge or broaden the cohorts.




Do you offer consulting for a single business?


Yes, Proof regularly consults individual companies.




Does each restaurant or participant have to personally pay for the course?


Typically, a local sponsor will collaborate with Proof to offer the course at no cost to participants. Proof works in conjunction with local incubators, government municipalities, educational institutions, small business development offices, and/or local chambers to provide funding for the course.




How much do your programs cost?


Each program and cohort is different depending on the size of the cohort and needs. Fill out the form on our Programs Page, and we can start a conversation to learn more about your entrepreneur ecosystem. We can work to tailor a program to fit your specific needs.




What topics are covered in each course?


Our industry is challenging and demands a wide range of skill, talent, and understanding to be successful. Our courses are no different. We walk each company through our recovery model knowing that no two companies are the same, but the base structure is universal: • Financial foundations: Making sure participants understand the numbers (profit & loss, post-COVID forecasting and budgets, menu costing, new revenue streams, etc.) • Regulatory requirements • Operations and process: SOP's, structure, best practices, etc. • Marketing, branding, & communications: Online optimization, social media, ad spends, website content management systems • Menu & supply chain management: Menu evaluation, online ordering, menu refresh, costing, supply chain evaluation




Is the course led in person or virtually?


Currently, our course is held virtually via Zoom. There are options to all teams for in-person meetings and site visits.




Who can participate? Are there certain requirements?
